For every item sold, we donate a headband to a child with an illness.

Jess Ekstrom started Headbands of Hope in 2012, out of her college dorm room. During a summer internship at a wish-granting organization, she saw that many kids loved to wear headbands after they lost their hair to treatment. No one was donating headbands to them. So she started.

Since then, we have donated 1,656,919 headbands to children's hospitals across the United States and to children in 22 countries. In 2019 we expanded our mission from children with cancer to every child with an illness.

Today Headbands of Hope is part of the Ripple Brands community and is sold in thousands of stores. The mission has not changed: the smallest accessories can create the biggest ripple effects.
